August Update

Hello everyone! 

It is nearly September! Wow 4 more months until it would be 2015. Time has gone by really fast. I haven't blogged in a while but to be honest nothing much has happened! Exams are coming up and I'm lacking with all the "studying" I have done. Why must I procrastinate. Why must I do this to myself? I am just making myself more and more stressed. I feel lazy haha.

I haven't done much this this month and there really isn't enough to write about. I did go and study with some of my friends and they ended up bringing up lollies and we just munched on them. Thank you: Wilson,Prince,Andrew and Brian for studying with me and making me look less like a loner that I am already am. I also went over to a Chung's house for the first time. Prince,Andrew and I got lost at first as we didnt know the exact address of this house. His pets were the cutest however his dog was sure energetic.

This dog was one of the most energetic that I have ever seen. He was so small and cute. I regret running away and being scared of it. It did try to bite me so I did have an excuse to run...
However Chung's pet seem to have grown attached to Prince or maybe it was because he was good with animals. I was mean and kept holding a piece of grass in front of his dog. I have no idea what I was expecting. 
I'm so weird haha

I kinda want pets when I grow up. Maybe a small one with low maintance? 

Anyway I should get back to studying! Lets get motivated :)

Genghis Khan | Kendall's 17

Hello everyone

So my friend Kendall recently turned seventeen and we went to Ghenghis Khan, A Mongolian buffet restaurant nearby. I previously went here before with my family however it was a first with my friends

It firstly started bad as the place got our booking time wrong and postponed it to 8:15pm which was a late dinner for me I did not know if I wanted to go in after. Especially since I was ever so hungry. If you know me, I can not resist food and must eat. However in the end I decided to go. 

Earlier I went to study in the public library with my friend Andrew. I also ended up seeing some other people that we knew:Brian,Kevin X and Taejin however, Andrew and I stuck together. We also ended up having lunch and I had sushi and I haven't had that since forever and it was time that I should have. The sushi place in our local mall had just finished renovating and I must admit that it looked way better. The sad thing about it, was that majority of the seating is outside and since it was winter, it was freezing cold. 

I also bought and tried Lipton Ice Tea-Lemon flavour which Andrew recommended and it was so good. I would buy it again.

Anyway back on topic. I arrived at on time for Kendall's dinner and you wouldnt guess what I saw. I saw people signing a toilet seat for his gift as he didn't know what he wanted. They are crazy. I really caught me a surprise. I ended up signing on it too which I found weird but whatever.

When we entered we were hit with the warm breeze. It was so warm that I could have slept.  One of the first think I notice was there was alot/ a few pot plants. I even took a photo of one, I am so weird.

For those who have never been, Ghenghis Kan is a buffet restaurant where you place all your raw meat,veges,herbs and sauces in one bowl and they cook for you. I must say it is different from other restaurants however it maybe be over hyped. 

So that was the main course of the place however there were little beverages such as chips,spring rolls,sushi and soup. I got a bowl of soup and apparently it tasted like vomit so I ended up not having it at all.  

My favourite part was the making of pancakes. They make the best pancakes ever. They are so circular and perfect. I would never be able to make them. 

Wilson and I both had a mini competition on who could make a cuter pancake.

I reckon his one looks like a monkey but both of ours look cute either way.

Funny enough I ended up seeing my friends from another school, Adia,Jasmine and Brian. It was good to see them as I haven't seen them since a few months ago. 

They were attending a friend's birthday which I also meet and made new friends with which was nice.  Overall, I do like meeting new people when I am not shy. 

Aside of eating like a dog. I did something else funny which you probably would expect if you knew me well 

Is it just me but hugs make you feel extra lonely? I really enjoyed hugging people and more often. It suddenly occurred to me that I should hug more people. I must admit it was funny especially seeing Logan's reaction as he seems not to pefer hugs at all. I on the other hand enjoy hugs. Do you? It just enlightens my mood.

Front of House + Career Expo

Hi there everyone! 

So alot of stuff have been happening and I haven't had the chance to wrote/blog it all down. But dont worry I shall write everything down now 

Well recently I had my first experience as being part of a Front House on the 1st of August with my friends: Megan,Shresta,Caleb and Lori  It was for our school play of World War One. For you, that did know but this year was World War One's 100th Anniversary. Our school play was to play tribute towards this. As being front of house people we were luckily enough to watch the play also  Which was nice however we didn't watch the second half as we had to fulfill our duties.  We basically had to sell food during half time and dry the dishes afterwards which was alright. Afterwards we all just hanged out afterward. Since we were part of the Friday group of the production, the place was very full as it was the last day.  The play was during night time at our school and it was really cold however I enjoy the school at night as it seemed more peaceful. School at night seems to clear your mind unlike during the day.

At our school a career expo is held every year. For you that do not know what it is, it is basically where guests from universities,training course school which promote their place to us,students. It is a time to reflect on what we want to do after school. To be honest it was a scary thought for me  I know I would miss school as everything is basically organised for you.  I was part of the career's ambassador therefore I had to set the event up. My friend, Sarah and I had to move all the furniture our of the whanua/house block and organised the desks the way the guests wanted it to be. Believe me, it was a tough job as the furniture was too heavy for us and we also ended up vacuuming. 
Afterwards we had to wait for the guests which was very cold outside and it was no ideal.

Luckily around 7 we were able to eat the pizza that our career advisory got for us. I never actually had a whole pizza to myself before which was great as I love pizza.

The career expo made me think more this year than it did last year. It kinda got depressing after thinking how old I was getting and still have no idea what I want to do. 

On the plus side I can say to people that I stayed at school for roughly 13 hours (8:15-9:40) which is pretty neat. But I don't know if it is something I should brag about. 

I was so tired after that day. 

On the same week on Friday there was the whanua choir competition. Our school hosts whanua competitions where they compete to gather points for the whanua shield. I dont think our whanua has won ever since I came.  This year the choirs weren't that great as it seemed everyone was unprepared which was sad. I think they should have given everyone more time. However it didnt stop my friend,Canny and I judging each whanua's choir and placing them the order they would come in. However our predictions were so bad. We thought that the judges judge wrongly. We didn't think that our whanua wold come last as they had one of the best vocals or the whanua that had excellent instrumental (played by the one and only Inha and Gene).
Overall I cant wait for next year as the people organizing the choirs would be people from our year!

Recently, Wilson have been giving out really sour lollies from the local candy store to people. Lets just say these lollies are really sour and the expressions that people make are priceless. I also have to admit that they are sour but are so nice. 
Recently I have also been tired easily and just want to fall asleep. 


I also have another blog post coming up about my friend's birthday. 
I should write it now before I forget what happened.
